came and went
and there I lay
blissfully unaware of the event
Somnolent or drunk
Ignorant or absentminded
Submerged deeply in a funk
So depressed that I should
Have written a moving poem
About being depressed and could
Have done had I been so disposed
I suppose
But I didn't
And that's the sad fact
